DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WORK
In the spirit of Soongsil University's founding ideas - truth and service - the Department of Social Work prepares its students to develop skills, knowledge, and a value system necessary to provide counseling, support, and guidance to people who need help.

Professional social workers need to be equipped not only with scientific knowledge of the field but also practical training and field work experience to adapt themselves to the ever-changing needs of society. Their knowledge must include thorough understanding and balanced judgment of the dynamic relationship between individuals and environment. Social workers also need to internalize the values and philosophies of social work as their own, and, to this end, special emphasis is placed on the teaching of values and philosophy.

Due to the importance of field work experience, students have an opportunity to integrate their coursework with actual filed work traing.

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
