| THE GRADUATE SCHOOL OF SMALL BUSINESS HISTORY |
The Graduate School of Small Business was established in October,
1983 to foster qualified professionals who will lead the nation`s economic
and social development through strong build-up of small businesses. The
school offers Master`s degree programs in small business management, small
business and labor/management relations, small business small business and
labor/management relations, small business development, small business and
international trade, small business and government policy, and small business
and information management. Each year the school admits up to 125 students.
As of February, 1995, the school produced 167 graduates with a Master's degree in business administration (MBA), 29 graduates whit a Master`s degree in public administration, and 53 with a Master`s degree in engineering. In March, 1985, the school started a small business CEO program, a six-month intensive program. Since then, a total of 1,545 students have completed the program through 20 sessions, and in the current (21st) session there are 71 students enrolled in the program. Since March, 1990 the school has offered a CEO program for businesswomen, producing 526 graduates so far. In the current (11th) session, 43 women are enrolled in the program. The importance of stong small businessess to the political, social,
and economic stability of a society cannot be emphasized enough. It is
the University`s firm belief that the Graduate School of Small Business
offers the kind of programs urgently needed by the present society.
