The Graduate School of Information Sciences was established
in November, 1987 with the educational objective of offering an excellent
training ground for qualified professionals who will lead the field of information
sciences. The curriculum equally emphasizes both theoretical and practical
knowledge of and skills in information sciences. Initially, the school offfered
2 Master`s degree programs and admitted up to 80students. In November, 1989,
the school obtained permission from the Ministry of Education to admit up
to 120 candidates. In November, 1991, the school added a program in information
communication to its offerings, increasing the allowed enrollment to 135.
The school provides its students a highly advanced education in computers, which is essential for businessess to maximize efficiency in management and production. From practical training in computers to information management, the curriculum offers a wide range of courses representing theoretical and practical knowledge and skills. |
